... and we are already falling in love with Cambodia ... the countryside we saw during the bus trip was stunning - extremely rural, lush, green, lots of palms, rice paddles and my beloved water buffalos - and Phnom Pen itself, despite a chaotic traffic, seems more orderly and tidy than Hanoi or Saigon ... there are pagodas everywhere and they look one more beautiful than the other ... we have already found 2 vegan restaurants and we had a delicious dinner (Cambodian and Indonesian curry) and cheap and cheerful beer ... our hotel is very nice, the pool area is great and we are looking forward to relaxing there tomorrow after a full day sightseeing ...
