It took Ernst a few years to convince me, but at last we spent some time in Japan ...
We started with 4 days in Tokyo ... and they were very hectic!
We also managed to squeeze in a day-trip to Nikko
Afterwards we headed up to the mountains of Hakone / Gora, where we slept in a wonderful Ryokan - we took a cable car to a volcano and we ended up to a lake ... we even managed to take a peek of a very elusive Mount Fuji on the way ...
The day after we took a Shinkansen to Hiroshima and visited the beautiful Miyajima island
The many, many temples of Kyoto were up next ...
and a quick visit to Nara and the famous tame deers, too ...
Then it was time to our temple overnight stay in the most mystical place in Japan, Koyasan...
We finished the tour with a bang, with a couple of days in quirky Osaka ...
But there is still so much to see, so it is definitely a "we will see you soon, Japan"!
