Cuzco - Sacred Valley ...

Isla del Sol, Lake Titicaca ...

... three unforgettable days!!

... the shores of the Challa community ...


... fantastic, organic food at Francisca's house ... look at the size of those broad beans ..


... Ernst, the new broad bean harvester ... they seriously wanted him to stay in the village for another couple of weeks!!


... walking around the marvellous island ... about 15 km at an altitude between 3800 and 4100 meters ... up and down, of course ...














... a freshly (clad oven) baked potato and a muna mate ... to get our strength back after the 6 hour hike ... with Lidia and Noel!!


... three days without a shower and sharing our toilet with three donkeys, but who cares?? we loved every minute ...

Copacabana ...

... but the Bolivian one!!! On the shore of Lake Titicaca, 3841 meters above sea level - aaargh! ...

... at first it looked a bit like the Bolivian Disneyland, but it was a very pleasant town to spend a day - and our launch pad to Sun Island!
