It was just a week, but we had a wonderful time in a small b&b on an even smaller island ... the underwater world was fantastic!
My advice would definitely be - ditch the expensive resorts and just head for an inhabited island, for a more comprehensive and authentic Maldivian experience ... just try to avoid Ramadan, if you can!!
